Afternoon workshop: Backyard medicine

Learn how to heal yourself with the wild medicine that grows right outside your door.

In this afternoon class, you will learn 3-5 common wild edibles that can be made into tea, soothing balms and tinctures. These plants can be found in both rural and urban areas (once you know what to look for!)

We will cover how to identify medicinal plants, when to harvest, and some basic processing techniques.
This is wild and kitchen medicine at its finest!

You will take home:

  • One tea (we will focus on a nourishing women’s tea that eases both PMS and menopausal symptoms)
  • One medicinal tincture (for respiratory issues like cough and cold)
  • One balm (great for soothing dry skin in winter)
